Personal altar etiquette
by: Dionysus

I tend to not like anybody touching or using my altar without my permission. Children and animals are fine, though, because they're innocent and playful. Not to mention, they can really add to the energy. My husband isn't a witch but is respectful and open minded and sometimes participates in little things with me. But if we aren't doing anything a little witchy together he knows not to touch a thing. Other people's energies can sometimes get wrapped up in our sacred space or tools. If someone had a bad day and is feeling negative, that energy can be passed on and you may want to do a cleansing. As long as you're ok with it, its fine! Just be wary of other's energies.

Yours, Mine & Ours
by: Ken

Samantha,

Sharing an altar, or any other tools is fine, if you have no problem with it. It all comes down to personal choice.
