The Book
by: Ken Biles

Most people confuse a book of Shadows with a Grimoire. They are not the same.

A Grimoire is a book of spells.

A Book of Shadows is a journal. It contains spells, but it also holds rituals, and recipes, and thoughts and ideas. Every time you have an idea about your Craft, or Deity, or poetry about the season, you write it in your Book of Shadows.

Your Book of Shadows documents your journey through your life and Craft. It shows a history of who you were, and who you are. By reading through it, you can see the changes in your life, and spiritual Path, and how they have changed over time.

It's important to have a resource that can show you where you've been, so that you know where you are.
