Pagan Community

Pagan community is an important part of our Path.  Unfortunately, not everyone has access to a local community of like-minded people.  Even if there is a local community, it may be difficult to find.  Solitaires may find themselves feeling isolated and alone.

I am lucky that Denver has a large vibrant local community.  This section is set up to give examples of events that take place all over the country, even the whole world, using my local community as an example.

Every Samhain, we have not one, but two Witches Balls.  There is the original Witches Ball, and the Ultimate Witches Ball.  This year, I took a video camera to each, to give you an idea of what these events are like.

We also have our Pagan Pride Day celebration.  Most larger cities have a Pagan Pride Day, and you can find more information on your local event at the National Pagan Pride website.

We also gather for support of local Pagan and Pagan friendly businesses.  We have a local Pagan coffee shop called The Witches Brew.  During this economic downturn, they found themselves having a tough time making enough money to stay open, so they held a Save The Brew Day.

Even if you can’t find any Pagan Community close by, you still have the Internet.  Websites like this, and email groups can help to give you a sense of community with others.  Not only can you read about Witchcraft, but you can join in conversations with Witches around the world.

My plan is to add chat here, when I can afford to buy server space.  I firmly believe that community is the glue that holds us together, and helps us to learn more about ourselves and our Craft.
