Shielding In Circle

I don't know how to explain, but for a long time I turned away from the energies I felt around me. However, I'm attempting to make amends by opening myself up once again to the images and energy that surrounds me.

I'm having trouble focusing it though. I attempted to cast a circle and surround myself with white light and make a safe place for myself to meditate, but I was bombarded with evil.

I can't block out the negative energy around me. I was once told my place is as a healer. But I need help with the negative energy, at least long enough to build a defense.

I don't know if this makes sense to you, but I don't know how else to explain it.

I once found myself in a similar situation while living woth and just after seperating from my first hisband. You need to purify your surroundings, is my thought. You can do this easily with an orange and a bottle of whole cloves. Simply pierce the orange with as many whole cloves as possible, prefferably in a spiral pattern. Do this with as many oranges as you like. Then place the orange(s) in a prominant place in your room, but make sure to put it on a dish or some aluminium foil. The cloved orange naturally attracts and traps negative energies while making your house smell nice. Remove from your home once the orange begins to degrade or grow mold.
