The only tools you really need, are the tools you were born with. Those are your heart, and your mind. With those, working together, there isn't anything that you can't do.
I understand your confusion, it's normal for someone just starting out. You are looking for someone who can point you in the right direction, and guide you along your Path.
I'm actually working on an online course in Witchcraft, that I will be offering as soon as it's ready. I know that there are a lot of people looking for a teacher, and don't know where to find one.
Fully half the issue is having someone to talk to, and ask questions of. That is where books fail dismally. A website like this one, is a little better, you can at least ask questions, and get short answers (under 3000 characters)
The forums are another good place to ask questions, and get answers. Not just from me, but from everyone there.
This way you have the ability to have an actual conversation with many people, and get much more information to work with.
